Lou Reed Portrait
To pass the time in early lockdown 2020 I decided to draw one of my favourite musical artists: Lou Reed. Using a combination of crosshatched fine liner pen and yellow acrylic paint (Inspired by the colour palette of 'The Velvet Underground and Nico' album art) I achieved the look of this final piece.
Daisy the chocolate labrador
A basic pencil portrait of my girlfriend's chocolate labrador Daisy, which I drew as a birthday present.
'Wanted Man' Short Film Poster
A poster I produced in GIMP for my western short film script 'Wanted Man'. Due to lockdown restrictions I had to find an alternative way of filming it. That alternative was 'Red Dead Redemption 2: Online' (More about this project on my filmmaking page). So inspired by classic 1950/60s western posters I created my own, using assets from the game to replace the images of actors.
Alternative Blade Runner Poster
As another poster produced in GIMP this piece was created as a part of my study of graphic design at college. We were tasked with creating an alternative poster design for a piece of media we enjoyed. My choice was 'Blade Runner' (1982). Focusing on the mysterious elements of the film', I believe I captured its atmosphere through my use of dark crimsons and neon blues, in tandem with the smoggy textures and the mysterious replicant owl as the enigma code focus.
Study of Natural Forms
Pictured are my works in the study of natural forms, in a variety of mediums, from high school.
01. Using a photo taken by German photographer Karl Blossfeldt as a reference I recreated this flower in acrylic paint.
02. A piece taken from a secondary source using the stippling technique with fine liner pen for the first time.
03. Another piece taken from a secondary source experimenting with the cross hatching technique for the first time using pen. This has become one of my most commonly used and favourite techniques.

Hedgehog Pyrography
My first attempt at the art of pyrography (wood burning). The process involved taking a minimalistic image of a hedgehog and tracing it onto a piece of wood. Then using the pencil image as a guide the lines were permanently burned into place.
